Leo Donahue

I'm a UX Design Manager for Toyota in Tokyo. My team and I are creating a "connected city" as a test course for mobility at the base of Mount Fuji.

In previous roles I've developed expertise in Design Systems, Accessibility, B2B Digital Marketing, and Front-End engineering. I also supported the development of T-Mobile's Cloud Infrastructure, a myriad of administrative tools (including user-account / account-management interfaces), and scheduling tools.

Overview

I am fascinated by the endless possibilities of storytelling and the infinite reach of software. At Apple I contributed extensively to Design Systems, but as a regular user of Apple products, I also took the opportunity to contribute or request UX improvements across many of their offerings including store.apple.com, TV OS, the "Apple TV" app, the digital media store, iOS, MacOS, Calendar, and more. I even caught and helped to patch a CSS rendering error in Safari.

I've met many passionate and talented people in my life - both in-and-out of the tech industry. Many of the most-dedicated I have met in "humble" environments - serving coffee, waiting tables, or tuning bicycles. Inspired by their desire to "do more for the world", I have shared my time and experience to train more than 40 people from zero-to-one on design principles and UX skills through my Product Management Dictionary project and UX Training Curriculum.
